Micki’s Dance Connection is very proud to have a very strong MDC Competitive Team consisting of approximately 70 dancers ranging in age from 5 to 19 years. The MDC Team competes on stage 4 to 5 times throughout the year traveling to other cities across Southern Ontario, winning many awards, trophies and scholarships.
These talented dancers, as well as their families, must have an extra dedication and commitment to dance, dancing three to five days per week, with additional rehearsals and fees. Being a competitive dancer is also extremely rewarding. Traveling to other cities, meeting other students from other dance studios, being a part of a team, challenging yourself to achieve your goals are all attractive features of competitive dance. Competitive dance is as much fun for the parents as it is for the dancers. Here at Micki’s we have a strong parent fundraising committee to raise money throughout the year to off set the cost of competing. Also special to Micki’s Dance Connection, Michelle each year gives scholarships to competitive dancers exceeding $10,000 every single year to help with the costs of lessons.
